The original figure's tagline was "Heroic Human After the initial wave, Man-E-Faces was one of the first characters conceived for the second, wave. His 'feature' was that a dial on top of his head could be rotated, allowing one of three faces human, monster or robot to be visible at the front of his helmet. The figure came with an orange laser gun, making him one of the few characters from the line to carry a firearm.
This gun was later recycled in the same color in the Weapons Pak. The purple detailing of his armor can also be found to vary on some foreign versions.
There was also an early release of the figure that came with a bonus selection of weapons. These were originally included in the Castle Grayskull play set and were presented in a maroon dye.
This release has been dubbed "Man-E-Weapons" by fans, and is a sought after release on the collectors market. The Sorceress involves herself and changes Man-E-Faces back to his human self, but Skeletor asserts his dominance and turns Man-E back into the monster. The struggle creates a third persona, a super-intelligent robot which is neither good nor evil.
Although He-Man manages to free Man-E-Faces from Skeletor's spell, the robot and monster are now permanent parts of his character. He-Man vows to fight until Man-E is free from the curse. Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh pursue a former LAPD officer who uses his knowledge of police procedure and policies to steal and sell confiscated guns and ammunition to local street gangs.
The story of a relationship between a teacher and his troubled pupil. Justin McLeod is a former teacher who lives as a recluse on the edge of town. His face is disfigured from an automobile accident and fire ten years before in which a boy was incinerated and for which he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
He is also suspected of being a pedophile. He is befriended by Chuck, igniting the town's suspicion and hostility. Gibson makes a spectacular directorial debut in this story of a relationship between a teacher, a man disfigured from a car accident and a fire and his young and troubled pupil.
Both characters learn from each other the values of freedom and true friendship. Impressive performance from Gibson, as the teacher.

Zuko and Noriko watched in awe as the Mother of Faces approached. Afterward, she listened to Aang's apologies, who explained that they needed two favors to restore two different relationships. The Mother of Faces followed them out of Forgetful Valley and toward Hira'a, where she found and asked Noriko if she wanted to remember her old life as Ursa.
