I wore out two audiocassettes of this album in the eighties and nineties, and remember them to be flawlessly recorded, mixed and produced. Room filling sound that was rich and full. By comparison, this CD sounds flat and dull. It works overhard just to fill up the cab of my pick-up truck with music; and its nowhere near as exhilarating as it should be.

Four stars!! I got to hear her music - as recordings played on the show and as live performances right there will Mr. Feinstein in accompaniment. So happy I bought this. Not so great. This remains one of my favorites!
While exploring modern dance grooves and even country to some degree, this albums musical diversification does actually lay quite a bit more within the jazz idiom that includes funk more often than not.
